I've Become the Short-Lived Eternal Strategist Under a Tyrant??

I transmigrated into an era of endless war. They say a ruler will one day pacify the chaos and found an unprecedentedly mighty country, one where the people live in misery: the Jing Empire.

But what does that have to do with a poor scholar like me? My family has no money, all my relatives are dead, and all I have left is a tumbledown thatched hut to shelter me from the wind and rain.

Worse, my predecessor had been rejected from job after job and finally fell ill under the pressure of it all.

I think I'm going to die. (Sobs.)

Wait, what? I'm the legendary strategist under the future tyrant, the one who's supposed to die young?! The tyrant's eternal white moonlight, the cherished friend the Jing Dynasty's first chancellor could never forget, the only person in the whole empire officially honored as a sage, the strategist who planned the conquest of the Four Barbarians and brought all nations to pay tribute?

Me? (Blank stare.jpg)

You're saying I can change the Great Jing's early collapse, stop Emperor Jing from being tyrannical, and prevent every tragedy?

The strategist stuff can wait. I think I'm about to die right now!!!
