Sword Venerable Mo Xia is the greatest swordsman in the cultivation world, a role model for countless cultivators who slays demons and exorcises evil.
No one knows that Mo Xia is actually a mission-taker from another world, accompanied by a thoroughly inhuman System.
The damn System dumped him in the cultivation world and ignored him for a thousand years. Just as he finally overcame every obstacle and was about to ascend, it at last appeared before him again.
Amidst the rolling tribulation lightning, the System's cold voice rang out once more. "Task-taker Mo Xia detected. Host has reached the peak of the Mahayana stage. Upgrade mission changed. Mission name: Teacher of the Righteous Path. Host must guide the villain into becoming evil and teach the villain to become the foremost figure of the Immortal Way. Host must kill the villain as he ascends. Mission reward: Return to your original world and receive a luxury seaside villa in the real world."
Watching the tribulation clouds gradually disperse while his cultivation remained stuck at the Mahayana stage, Mo Xia was so furious that he could barely hold the sword in his hand. Damn System, you did that on purpose, didn't you?

The orphan Xu Tiancong met a wonderful man. That man saved him from a fire, taught him poetry, books, proper conduct, and righteousness, became his master, and led him onto the path of cultivation.
Although his master's moods were unpredictable, one moment fussing over him and the next forcing him to bully men and women, this life was still much better than the one he'd had before.
Later, he and Mo Xia weathered the calamity in the Immortal Realm, the war among the Six Realms, and countless other dangers, and finally got together.
Xu Tiancong looked at the man before him, dressed in red and smiling at him, and could barely keep from crying. But before he could approach, a sword suddenly pierced his chest.
Xu Tiancong looked up in shock at his usually carefree, audacious master. His master now looked down at him as he knelt on the ground, his eyes cold and disdainful, a mocking, icy smile on his face. There was an excitement in his eyes that Xu Tiancong could not understand.
"Ding. Host Mo Xia, mission failed."

1. Initially sweet, later obsessive immortal Venerable top x refined, carefree "playboy" Sword Venerable bottom
2. The bottom and top never really bully men and women.
3. 1v1, happy ending, with a nontraditional identity-mistaken-for-someone-else plot in the middle
