I Teamed Up with the Police Officer Who Had My Advisor Arrested

Takaaki takes center stage until Chapter 70. After that, Hiromitsu will get more screen time to leave room for his alternate-timeline route, where his love goes unrequited.

Note: In the main story, Hiromitsu has one-sided feelings for the protagonist and keeps trying to seduce him. But the protagonist will only ever choose Takaaki. If you only like Takaaki, you can just read the first 70 chapters.

Makari Saku grew up with his cat-eyed childhood friend, but had never met the boy’s older brother. Later, his childhood friend became a police officer just like his brother, and Saku could no longer even catch a glimpse of him.

Then one day, while Saku was caught up in his friend’s murder case, he recognized the detective who had arrived to investigate the crime scene from a single glance. To his surprise, the officer was Hiromitsu’s older brother.

Over the phone and in messages, Hiromitsu had praised and talked about his childhood friends countless times.

Especially the one with the beautiful green eyes.

Hiromitsu: “Brother, you’ll see when we meet. You’re sure to like Saku!”

Then one day, Takaaki went out on a routine assignment and, by sheer coincidence, finally met the clever, beautiful, sweet, and adorable Saku his younger brother talked about all the time.

Officer Takaaki watched as Dr. Makari Saku, a man with several titles who was working toward his second doctorate, turned his back on him, crossed his long legs, and sat down opposite the corpse. Then the handsome doctor rolled his eyes disdainfully at the famous Kogoro Mouri…

Takaaki quietly put on his white gloves, thinking his brother’s rose-colored glasses were far too powerful.

This time, Makari Saku is Takaaki’s childhood friend. He and Takaaki attended the police academy together. He’s a double agent working for Public Security and the Black Organization, but in reality, he’s on the good guys’ side.

Takaaki also follows an alternate path: he solved the family case while still in university, joined the career-track police program, and stayed in Tokyo.

Hiromitsu joined Public Security and went undercover in the Black Organization. He had never met Makari Saku before going undercover.

Take his younger brother, who’s pretending to be his boyfriend, and try to win over his first love all over again!

The roles are switched from this story: the childhood-friend older brother and the younger brother who appears out of nowhere!
