Xu An transmigrates into a period novel as the awful, cannon-fodder ex-wife who drugs the male lead and forces her way into his life early in the story. She wakes up in the aftermath, the room in disarray after she has drugged him.
The first thing she sees is a man's broad, muscular back, covered in red marks. Outside the door, a crowd is pounding on it, shouting as they catch the adulterers in the act.
