Flowers Bloom from a Sickly Frame

Meng Qichuan was famous in their circle for doting on his younger cousin, Meng Jun. He indulged him in everything.

When Meng Jun wanted to study, he donated a building.

When Meng Jun wanted a star, he bought the rights to name one.

They were even kidnapped together, and Meng Qichuan took several knife wounds while saving Meng Jun, nearly losing his life.

But nobody knew he hated Meng Jun most of all.

His application had failed because Meng Qichuan had sabotaged it. The kidnapping had been orchestrated by Meng Qichuan himself.

He hated how Meng Jun had stolen all the family's attention from the moment he was born.

Even more, he hated that Meng Jun had left him disabled and cast out by the family, and didn't even remember it.

Then Meng Jun crashed his engagement banquet and, emboldened by drink, laid his heart bare. "Brother, isn't me the one you love? I only want you. You can't be with anyone else... You can't abandon me!"

Only then did Meng Qichuan realize that the person he hated most in the world was the one who loved him most.

How ridiculous.

After he exposed the secret of Meng Jun's birth and watched his younger cousin fall into the mud,

triumph and emptiness enveloped him at once. He had let Meng Jun catch him on purpose.

He watched the docile puppy turn into a vicious wolf.

Every day, Meng Jun whispered to him, "Brother, do you even have a heart? Was it all a lie when you said you loved me?"

He unclipped his prosthetic leg, restricting his movement. "If I do this, will you never be able to leave me?"

When he heard Meng Qichuan say he hated him, he gave a cold laugh. "How can you hate someone without loving them?"

Yet when the fire broke out, Meng Qichuan shoved him outside and refused to leave the flames himself.

Meng Qichuan threw his prosthetic leg into the fire. "Meng Jun, come out and I'll stop hating you. If you don't... we'll die here together!"

At last, a flower bloomed from these broken bones.

2. Content warning: They are not biological brothers. The top is the child his aunt had from an affair. The bottom is sexually inexperienced at first, then not; the top is sexually inexperienced.

3. Melodramatic, pseudo-incest, love and hatred, painful romance, angsty but satisfying
