Shimizu Akina got her hands on a new romance game in full-dive VR called "Doki Doki: A Wonderful Romance with Ninjas". Looking at the gorgeous face of the poster boy, she threw herself into the game with enthusiasm.
On her first playthrough, Shimizu Akina decisively chose her beloved poster boy. After a flurry of actions, she successfully unlocked a bad ending.
"Madara: What Must Be Abandoned: Beautiful yet weak things are destined to be abandoned"
Staring at the CG of herself being killed by her husband, Shimizu Akina was like, “?” Hello? Is being beautiful not enough for a romance game? No, you, I...
Thoroughly heartbroken, she immediately started a second playthrough and chose her ex-husband’s rival.
After a flurry of actions, she got another bad ending.
"Hashirama: The Hokage’s Heart: Nothing can be allowed to harm my village"
Wait, how did I harm your village?
Shimizu Akina: “Haha, I give up.”
Unwilling to believe it, she started a third and then a fourth playthrough, unlocking these endings:
"Tobirama: Love and Doubt: Doubt mingles with your love, yet it cannot hold back love’s arrival. So it seems your romance can go no further"
"Izuna: Early Cherry Blossoms on a Branch: The beautiful Uchiha Izuna is like early cherry blossoms on a branch, glorious yet fleeting. And so his life, too, fades away in early spring"
Shimizu Akina: “…”
Thoroughly heartbroken, she looked at the neat row of four bad endings and decided to try the worldline set fifty years later, as officially recommended.
Shimizu Akina: They say you’ll do fine if you take good advice. I followed the official recommendation, so there’s no way I’ll get four bad endings again this time, right? (smiles)
Then she unlocked these endings:
"Naruto: The Lover Who Disappeared: Under the weight of fate, we eventually went our separate ways"
The savior is pretty hard to win over. I’ll pick someone else, someone else.
"Shikamaru: The Moon Reflected in Water: The moon doesn’t belong to me"
Smart people tend to overthink things, huh? I’ll just try someone else. Yeah.
"Kakashi: Words Like Knives: Amidst the rumors and gossip, the young man’s pride made him push away the person who had once been closest to him"
Shimizu Akina: “…” Haha, I’m going to blow up this whole rotten world!
Completely broken, Shimizu Akina quit the game to cool off. But when she woke up the next day, she found that something seemed off about the world.
Reading tips:
1. OOC, mountains of headcanons, and chaotic logic. I’m writing romance, so cut me some slack, okay? (Just kidding.)
2. If anything you read makes you uncomfortable, run away immediately.
3. I don’t know what this is yet. Anyway, I’ll put down three for now and add more anytime.
Theme: Work tirelessly for a better future.
