[Both leads are each other's only partners / Sweet romance / One-on-one / A bedtime treat / Pure-hearted, pretty, and adorably logical fox x tiger who seems steady and composed but is actually a doting, love-struck husband]
Hu Lili was a fox beastperson.
While visiting the city after coming down from the mountain, his pheromones suddenly went out of control. He vaguely remembered losing himself in passion with an incredibly handsome man. When he patted his empty pockets, he panicked and had to borrow paper and a pen from the hotel to leave a message.
Before long, his already round belly became even rounder.
For various reasons, Hu Lili didn't dare go looking for the man. He was even afraid that he and the baby would be found out and taken away, so he could only raise the little one on his own, with great hardship.
The trouble was, the little one was a gold-devouring beast. Literally, he ate gold.
As soon as he turned one month old, he started rolling around and sweeping through the mountain, leaving nothing edible in anyone else's home. Hu Lili immediately fell into debt, making his already poor life even harder.
Hu Lili really had no choice. With tears in his eyes, he grabbed the little one's collar and headed down the mountain to find his father.
The tiger had always been chaste and had never expected that a mere business trip would lead to a night of passion with a beastperson of unknown origins.
After dealing with the person who had drugged him with ruthless efficiency, it dawned on him that the beastperson might already be carrying a tiger clan heir.
His clan had always placed great importance on blood ties and descendants. He had to find the beastperson who had taken his innocence.
Drag him back and torture him for answers!
The day he really did bring him back...
Hu Lili trembled, clutching the little cub in his arms, and whispered, “Cub, Dad really can't afford to raise you. Let's find you a new dad, okay? He looks really rich!”
The tiger was walking downstairs when he heard this. A scornful, mocking smile lifted his lips. He wanted to see what kind of lowlife would dare scheme against him so brazenly!
Hearing the commotion, Hu Lili turned his head and met a pair of deep golden eyes.
The tiger saw a tiny fox holding a cub, staring timidly at him with round, blinking eyes. The tiger's throat bobbed, and a smile gradually appeared in his eyes.
Ah, so he was just a silly little fox.
Hu Lili looked at the tiger, who wore an inscrutable expression, and timidly said, “I'm not lying! This really is your cub. I can't afford to raise him, so you should take him!”
The tiger frowned slightly as he looked over Hu Lili's slender frame. His voice was so gentle it hardly seemed like his own. “Do you want me to take care of you too?”
Hu Lili was instantly smitten. His fluffy, soft tail swished behind him. He was so moved he nearly cried.
Sniffling, he complained, “Your cub is so hard to raise. He wants to eat silver and gold and expensive things, and I owe so much money...”
“Mm. It's all my fault. I'll pay off all your debts.”
“But, baby, we have to get married first. Then all my money will be yours.”
The silly fox heard that and beamed. Marriage sounded great!
Much later...
The little fox struggled to flee the bed, one hand covering his tail. Deep bite marks were still visible on his rounded shoulders.
As he cried, his tail, puffed up like cotton candy, trembled.
He really wanted a divorce. Sure, he had no worries about food or clothing, but life in bed was simply no way for a fox to live!
The tiger knocked on the walk-in closet door and gently coaxed him. “Baby, can you come out? I miss you.”
Hu Lili spat three times in a row.
The tiger lowered his eyes and chuckled. “Baby loves me, that's why you're spitting at me.”
Hu Lili stopped spitting. He wasn't that llama back home!
The tiger laughed again. “Baby loves me, that's why you can't bear to spit at me.”
All that talk about torturing him for answers was nonsense. Boss Tiger had let it go ages ago.
