The runner-up of the Junior tournament was a quiet boy with a high ponytail.
Sanada, who came third, added the name Lin Nai to his little list along with Tezuka.
Then, on the day he started at Rikkai Dai, he discovered that his destined rival had become his classmate.
Sanada: Let's play another match!
Lin Nai (trying to refuse politely, but unable to think of the right words): No, there's no need.
Sanada: ...
What everyone at Rikkai Dai thought of Lin Nai:
First meeting: What a cold person. You can't talk to him!
After getting to know him: Turns out he just isn't very good at Japanese, haha. Nai-chan is so nice!
After really getting to know him: Wait, something's off. Is this guy actually kind of weird?!
Lin Nai is a Chinese exchange student. His grandfather runs a martial arts school, and his father is a professional tennis player. He's stacked with buffs from the moment he shows up. Supposedly, he'd been playing tennis for less than a year, and even Yukimura nearly lost to him at the Junior tournament.
--
Once they got to know him, everyone discovered that this cute-looking boy was actually rebellious and embarrassingly chuuni on the inside, and his stubbornness on the court was almost unbelievable.
Lin Nai: Don't tell me what to do. I have my own rhythm. ╰(⇀‸↼)╯
The regulars: So that's why you always have to break your opponents' special moves?
--
Everyone knows there's a great demon among the four top players of the Rikkai Dai tennis team.
He insists on drawing out his opponents' special moves during a match, then takes delight in breaking them and taunts them with just a few words.
Lin Nai: I hope you keep improving. (bows)
Opponent: ...Damn it, that's an insult, isn't it!
In short, it's a story about a straightforward puppy playing tennis!
