After growing up comfortably in the Yu family for seventeen years, Yu Su suddenly learns that he is the fake young master who was switched at birth.
The real heir has just been found, and his plane will land at the city's airport tomorrow at noon.
With his position hanging by a thread, Yu Su blankly recalls all the stories about real and fake young masters he has read on Green Literature City. The precious child who was secretly switched away always has a tragic past, suffering abuse and hardship: able to cook at three, do laundry at five, and with several younger siblings to support.
In short, his life must have been miserable.
When Yu Su finally meets Wu Luo in person, the pampered young master, fair and spotless, looks him up and down: his yellowed hair, torn clothes, and the conspicuous mud stains on his ragged trouser legs. He reaches a despairing conclusion.
He really has had a miserable life!!!
Though the past cannot be changed, the real heir is home now.
After a little thought, Yu Su makes a decision:
He will be good to his older brother.
Wu Luo's clothes are all in tatters, so Yu Su uses his private savings to buy him new ones.
Wu Luo has never seen or visited certain places, so Yu Su takes him on a trip as soon as the holidays begin.
Whatever love and care he may have missed out on over the years, Yu Su will make sure to give it all back to him.
And so, just as Young Master Yu is about to run out of money after splurging his allowance, his dear older brother changes his tune and awkwardly says he wants to treat him to a meal.
Thinking that brotherly harmony is finally just around the corner, the young master happily accepts.
Then he unexpectedly comes face-to-face with the elaborate confession scene his brother has carefully prepared.
"Aren't you supposed to be a poor little thing with no money?" Yu Su looks around the restaurant, calculating the cost and nearly falling apart.
His brother takes out a gemstone he bought for him, sounding just as bewildered: "You've been taking such good care of me, Xiaobao. Doesn't that mean you like me?"
[Bonus Scene]
When they first met, Young Master Yu takes it upon himself to look after his bargain-bin older brother. He gives him a family allowance card with a monthly limit of twenty thousand and tells him to buy whatever he wants. He absolutely won't say a word about it.
The card remains untouched.
Later, Young Master Yu sends his boyfriend out to buy the essential bedroom supplies, then lounges on the sofa playing on his phone. Suddenly, a notification pops up: a 58.9 charge on the family allowance card.
The purchase was made at the supermarket closest to their home.
