I Always Feel Like He's Putting on an Act

There are two campus celebrities at Jing University.

Shen An is a brilliant chemistry student, while Ji Jingxiao is a notorious hothead in the sports department.

Their majors and personalities seem to have nothing in common, but in reality, they've got a history and are bitter rivals.

Shen An can't stand Ji Jingxiao's brutish manner, and Ji Jingxiao likewise can't stand Shen An's usual aloof, flower-like act. Who does he think he's putting on a show for?

After summer break, a new class of freshmen arrives. With too few dorm rooms, the university merges rooms with spare beds and rearranges the roommates.

When Shen An arrives at his new dorm with his suitcase, several roommates are gaming. They turn to look at him and freeze.

Shen An has no idea what's going on when the bathroom door opens beside him and a rush of steam pours out. Ji Jingxiao steps out.

Shen An: ...

Shen An calmly rolls his suitcase to his bed, pretends he hasn't seen anything, and starts unpacking.

Behind him, Ji Jingxiao furrows his brow and swears. "Fuck, why is it you?"

Shen An's brow furrows too. "I'll ask the teacher to change my room tomorrow."

Ji Jingxiao sneers. "No need."

That night, Ji Jingxiao goes out and spends the night elsewhere.

Shen An's request to change rooms is denied, so he has to keep living there for now.

Their schedules may be different, but they share a dorm, so they see each other every day. Their conflicts keep piling up.

The breaking point comes when Ji Jingxiao discovers that Shen An is gay.

Ji Jingxiao can't understand it at all. He looks at Shen An with a strange, disgusted expression and warns him to stay away from now on.

Shen An gives him a faint smile. "Don't worry, Ji Jingxiao. I'm not desperate enough for that."

Ji Jingxiao's face darkens instantly.

Then one time, Shen An gets drunk and is taken to a hotel by a man. Ji Jingxiao storms in, opens the door, and finds the guy almost stripping Shen An naked.

Ji Jingxiao drives the guy away. He's furious that Shen An said he wasn't interested in him just a few days ago, but now he's about to sleep with someone like that.

He looks at Shen An, lying on the white sheets with his clothes half-open and his eyes closed, and makes a decision in the heat of the moment.

The next day, Shen An wakes up with his head about to explode.
