Demon Slayer: An If-Crossover With the Original, I'm Here to Help You, Old Me

I want to write stories where characters from alternate timelines collide with their canon selves, saving themselves. Old me, you're my greatest ally.

For example, in the Lord of the Pigs alternate timeline, Kotoha is still alive, and Inosuke is being groomed to become a leader. On one special day, he travels to the canon timeline and meets his canon self.

For example, in the alternate timeline where the twins survive, Yuichiro is still alive because the Master’s rescue arrived in time. Muichiro, who has his older brother by his side, angrily tells his canon self about the memories he forgot and locked away. (Meanwhile, Yuichiro is furiously cursing the other Hashira for daring to lay a hand on his little brother.)

For example, in the alternate timeline where Genya becomes a demon, Sanemi keeps him by his side all day, so Genya is fond of Tanjiro, who is in the same situation. He’s disappointed in his canon self, Sanemi: you have to keep your little brother close to keep him safe! Look, your brother is almost half-demon already.

Other ideas are still undecided.

1. I fully support the heroes and condemn the villains. I don't accept villains being redeemed if they're simply evil. In the Lord of the Pigs timeline, Inosuke and Kotoha's story ends in tragedy. The special day refers to the day Inosuke escaped the demon's lair with his mother. Anything that doesn't fit canon is my own invention, and I apologize if anyone feels the characters are out of character. These are my interpretations of the alternate timelines. The opening will include some of my personal interpretations as a heads-up, so if you can't accept them, feel free to stop before reading the main story.

2. Alternate-timeline characters will be marked with [ ], while canon characters will be referred to by their original names. For example, Lord of the Pigs Inosuke will be [Inosuke], while canon Inosuke will just be Inosuke.

3. All relationships are platonic. I just love this kind of platonic relationship. I love the twins, and I'll only write them as family. No incest!

4. Updates will be irregular. I'll write whichever idea inspires me.
