After losing her job, Jiang Yuechu takes a temporary position at a studio through an acquaintance. She follows the routine every day, afraid that "Boss Zhou the Slave Driver" will dock her pay. When the boss yells at her, she takes it without complaint, then secretly grumbles about him behind his back. Every so often, she gives his beloved money tree a little extra water. Though he's stingy, Boss Zhou the Slave Driver doesn't seem to have done anything truly wicked. Maybe he's just stubborn!
Then one day, she dreams of someone repeatedly calling her to come home. At first, she doesn't think much of it, but after it happens again and again, she starts to find it eerie. Just as she's about to go pray for protection, she runs into Boss Zhou. Remembering the gossip she'd heard, how could she not share it with the victim support group? She sends it over, only to be caught immediately and get a scolding.
She accompanies him up the mountain and meets a monk, who takes the two of them to a certain place. When he brings out a portrait and opens it, Jiang Yuechu is stunned. Isn't this the person from her dream?
Even after hearing his long explanation, Jiang Yuechu still doesn't believe anything supernatural is going on, so she leaves. Just as she's about to head home, something happens...
