The Wrong Marriage

On the day of her wedding, the bridal sedan arrived at her door, but she was carried to the wrong household.

Lin Qingwu was meant to marry into the household of a disabled young nobleman. Yet, with red silk veiling her eyes, she was escorted into the Jing'an Marquis's residence to take part in the wedding ceremony.

Only after the wedding candles had burned out and the groom still had not appeared did she learn that she had become the wrongly wedded wife of Xiao Jingchen, the powerful Marquis of Jing'an.

The marquis's residence was cold and desolate, and its residents were hard to read. Her husband was colder still, like an icy jade stone without a ripple on its surface.

Three days into their marriage, he told her only that she would serve as the marquis's wife for the time being, defining their marriage as a three-year transaction.

Lin Qingwu appeared meek and compliant, but inside she was as clear-headed as a mirror. She quickly assessed her situation and unexpectedly discovered that this cold marquis seemed to have lost the ability to feel emotions because of an old injury.

She kept her sharp edges hidden and secured her footing, making a place for herself in the marquis's residence with her skill in restoring ancient books, a technique thought lost. Meanwhile, without realizing it, he was gently moved by her composure, intelligence, and warmth...
