Shen Xingjin is Chen Su's nemesis, the top student at their school, and the taciturn academic prodigy in everyone's eyes. Yet he loves teasing Chen Su with a straight face.

One day when they go out together, Shen Xingjin asks Chen Su, "It's been so long. How come she hasn't even messaged you?"
Chen Su casually makes something up. "...She's asleep."
"I see." Shen Xingjin's tone is teasing. "Going to sleep at seven. That's a healthy schedule."
Before long, Chen Su finally realizes that Shen Xingjin has known all along that the younger girl doesn't exist.
He frowns and demands, "If you knew, why didn't you say anything? Were you messing with me?"
Shen Xingjin smiles nonchalantly and asks in return, "You didn't even dare admit you liked me. How was I supposed to say anything?"
