Forbidden Desires

P.S. An old-school story of elaborate schemes, possessive pursuit, and marriage before love. After moving as a family to develop their fortunes in a bustling metropolis, Zhuang Qichi discovered that her husband, Xu Jingxing, was having an affair with a refined, highborn heiress. The heiress was engaged to someone else. That “someone else” was Jiang Wuheng, a powerful man with a notorious reputation who had everything. Miss Liu was an innocent, aggrieved beauty who wept that her fiancé was sharp-tongued and perverse. Xu Jingxing doted on her, resenting his own low status and lamenting that he couldn’t protect her. He had no idea that Jiang Wuheng pitied his own wife, too. When Zhuang Qichi heard that one of her students had been punished with laps around the athletic field, she rushed over in a panic. There she found the aloof, dispassionate Mr. Jiang racing against her ex-husband and her college suitor. He ran eighteen laps, until he was the only one left. “You and I are both human. We both love our prospects. Why gamble again?” “Then use me to pave your way to success. Beneath the gate of the Heng clan, one can find shelter, Zhuang Qichi. I want you to become a little worse.” 1. The male lead is Jiang Wuheng. There’s a reason for his bad reputation, but his character is guaranteed. 2. Some of the schemes in the story are rather dark. The heroine is a little white crane surrounded by enemies. 3. The chase begins after the divorce. 4. Overall, it’s a melodramatic story with little logic, so it may not be for you if you’re picky. But romance never dies, the heroine has a bright future, and she gets everything! P.S. These are currently listed as coming-soon stories in my author column: *I Transmigrated into a Xianxia Novel Where Everyone Gets a Tragic Ending, but Spending Money Increases My Spiritual Power* and *A Hong Kong Police Intern Who Can Speak to the Small Appliances in Murderers’ Homes*. They’ve reached the right level already. There’s a variety of genres, and I’ll start writing based on how many favorites they get. Feel free to place your bets and add them to your favorites. Theme: Love and a promising future are both worth pursuing.
