The Snail Spirit Ghost Gets Horribly Impersonated

In school, Wu Zhaoxin was a pretty, ditzy girl. She wasn't clever, but she was lucky: she married into a rich and powerful family, and her husband died young.

Wu Zhaoxin was unlucky, too. Only after marrying into the family did he learn that the so-called wealthy family was actually a family of celestial masters, commonly known as ghost hunters.

And the only thing that could trigger the unusually unflappable Wu Zhaoxin was a ghost.

His dead husband nearly drove Wu Zhaoxin to a nervous breakdown with all that doting. Thankfully, heaven took pity on him. One day, when he came home, he saw a man at his door who looked nearly identical to his late husband.

The man took his hand. Not only did he look like his husband, he had the same personality, too. With a prim air, he said, "Honey, I'm reborn."

Wu Zhaoxin cried tears of joy.

Having a husband who's alive really is the best!

He thought his husband's return would put an end to the strange things happening around the house. Instead, pots and pans flew everywhere, the faucet turned on in the middle of the night, and horrible bloody writing appeared on the mirror: "He's a fake!"

Wu Zhaoxin trembled in his "husband's" arms. "Didn't you come back reborn? Why are there still ghosts in the house? QAQ"

His "husband" replied languidly, "Because this ghost isn't me, honey. While I was gone, what did you let this strange ghost do to you?"

Realizing he'd been tricked, Wu Zhaoxin felt both embarrassed and annoyed. In a small voice, he told him all the bad things the strange ghost had done to him.

His "husband" glared at him with dark eyes. "Then I need to check whether that ghost left anything dirty on you. It could affect your health."

Wu Zhaoxin shut his eyes and agreed, mortified.

The yin energy in the room paused for a moment, then the bed was overturned.

The luckiest thing that ever happened to Pei Xing was marrying Wu Zhaoxin. He loved Wu Zhaoxin, but Wu Zhaoxin didn't seem to love him as much.

So he kept up appearances and refused to show his true feelings. After death, worried that no one would take care of his silly wife, he became a helpful ghost who cooked for Wu Zhaoxin every day, gave him massages and foot rubs, and sneaked kisses at night in case Wu Zhaoxin missed him and couldn't sleep.

One day, he had laid out Wu Zhaoxin's slippers and was crouching by the front door, waiting for him to come home.

Then he saw Wu Zhaoxin clinging to another man and crying, his eyes and nose red, looking beautiful and fragile.

The man held Wu Zhaoxin and comforted him, saying, "Baby, I'm back." Then he looked up at Pei Xing in defiance. It was none other than Pei Xing's consumptive younger brother, Pei Xing, who should have been dead long ago.

Someone was impersonating Pei Xing, and Wu Zhaoxin believed him.

He went mad with rage, swearing to kill Pei Xing and then lock Wu Zhaoxin away so he would understand who his real husband was.

Wu Zhaoxin had a secret: he was born with yin-yang eyes and could see ghosts.

He knew the one who had returned wasn't his husband. His husband was still wandering around the house, now glaring furiously as he watched Wu Zhaoxin embrace someone else. But so what?

Wu Zhaoxin didn't need a vengeful ghost for a husband. He was terrified of ghosts, absolutely terrified.

So he might as well hypnotize himself. Whoever was alive would be his "husband."

1. Handsome pursuer, beautiful pursued. The pursuer spoils the pursued, and both are completely devoted to each other in body and mind.

2. Lots of feminization plotlines. He gets called princess, kitten, little sister, young lady, and all sorts of things.
