He and his wife had agreed before the wedding that their marriage was only to appease their families, and that they would end it after a few years. They had even agreed to sleep in separate rooms.

So Zhou Lansheng couldn't understand why his wife wanted a child.

When he came to, black tentacles had wrapped tightly around him, and a woman's voice whispered in his ear:

I'll just eat a little, then you can bear my offspring. How does that sound?

Having drifted from the chaotic void to Earth, Duan Yu hid from place to place until she finally found a comfortable life.

She brainwashed a human couple into becoming her "parents," giving herself a legal identity and a legitimate way to get meat. Thank goodness for the supermarket's fresh meat section.

She never expected that, as a member of society, humans had to fulfill their marital duties.

After a blind date, an adult male soon became her spouse. Humans called this a "husband" or "hubby."

Since her husband was home when she returned from work, Duan Yu had fewer and fewer chances to eat her fill of meat.

Someone caught hungry Duan Yu and asked when she and her husband were going to have a child.

She went to find her husband, but he said, "We agreed there wouldn't be any children."

As he spoke, her husband smelled delicious, and Duan Yu was hungry.

When she came to, her many tongues had licked him. The terrifying pleasure was hard for Duan Yu to forget.

If she ate him all at once, he would be gone. She had to keep him by her side for a long, long time.

Unfortunately, after many attempts, none of her eggs survived. Why didn't her husband have a reproductive cavity?

Duan Yu couldn't figure it out. She touched his face, which was streaked with tears of joy, and reached a conclusion:

Her husband had a physical defect.

Right?

Finally giving up hope on the human reproductive system, Duan Yu was deeply depressed. Seeing her so listless, her husband was silent for a long while before speaking with difficulty:

"You and I... are you only with me to have a child?"

Duan Yu: "...Is there any other possibility?"

The man before her looked solemn, but for some inexplicable reason his ears turned red all the way down to his neck. As if he'd made up his mind, he said, "Why don't you try a few more times?"

Reading Guide:

1. GB, with no role reversal, nor could there be. The male lead is sexually inexperienced, and the heroine takes charge.

2. Includes a small amount of male-lead angst. The hubby seems to be having a bit of trouble.

3. Contains some rather extreme sexual content. It really is extreme.

"Stop being jealous. An S-rank guide has appeared, and even her high-ranking sentinel brother is getting less attention now."

The conversation outside the window died away, but the frail-looking girl had the man pinned beneath her.

Her gray eyes drew close to the sentinel. She wiped away the tears at her brother's eye and embraced his naked body.

"You're different from them. You'll always be my family."

Not long after, as the empire began to crumble, the newly risen tyrant gave the chain in her hand a slight tug, and her brother stumbled to his knees, his face and limbs covered in bruises.

"Will you follow me, Brother?" she asked in a soft voice.

He lowered his head. He could neither stand nor refuse her.

Born into a powerful family and bearing the title of alpha, he had every right to look down on most people, including the beta commoner in the corner of the classroom, who spent all day with her head buried in her books.

Reading Guide:

1. A GB anthology. Each story has a separate world, though the narratives may refer back to one another. The times and places are fictional and unrelated to reality.

2. In Part Two, the leads are artificial experimental subjects with no blood relation. Both are adults, and their relationship does not develop while they consider each other family.

3. In Part Five, the leads have no blood or actual familial relationship. The heroine is the male lead's good friend's daughter, and she is an adult.

4. All male leads are sexually inexperienced. No role reversal, and the heroines have no cheat abilities.
