After the Human Marshal Fell from Grace, a Beautiful Mermaid Spoiled Him

The marshal was betrayed by one of his subordinates and fell, gravely wounded, into the forbidden waters of planet Atlante.

He thought he would die at sea, but a silver tail cut through the darkness and caught his sinking body.

Atlantean merfolk were said to be cruel, bloodthirsty, and one of the most dangerous species in the universe.

Yet this merfolk not only spared him, but saved his life. The merfolk called him "Nala."

Under the merfolk's care, the marshal gradually recovered.

The merfolk hunted the most delicious silver-scaled fish for him, soothed his nightmares with song, and gently wrapped him in their tail fin as he fell asleep.

He thought "Nala" meant friend.

Until one star-filled night, the merfolk pulled him beneath the sea's surface and kissed him.

It turned out "Nala" meant mate.

The day he returned to the battlefield, enemy forces were closing in.

Just as the marshal found himself cornered, the entire ocean suddenly rose up to his aid.

Atop the towering waves, the merfolk came striding over the water. Their tail transformed into long, shapely legs, and their silver hair streamed in the storm.

"You think you can lay a hand on my Nala?" They chuckled. "Did you ask the Lord of the Ocean first?"

The entire universe thought the marshal had tamed the ferocious merfolk.

Until their wedding night, when the marshal's arms were twisted behind his back and he was pinned onto the wedding bed.

The merfolk's heated lips pressed against the nape of his neck, their voice dangerous yet tender:

"Darling, I don't think you've ever realized..."

"In ancient Atlantean, Nala means 'exclusive bride.'"
