A Web Novel Protagonist, but the Male Lead Is My Brother

Ming Yu and Ming Jin are twins.

One day, five-year-old Ming Yu woke from a strange, fantastical dream and hurriedly dragged his nine fluffy tails over to his older brother. "Brother, I dreamed there was a mosquito buzzing around inside my head!"

"It could talk, too! It was scary!"

Ming Jin, almost buried under all those tails, carried his little brother back to bed. As he wiped his feet and soothed him, he said, "Don't be scared, Xiao Yu. You're the master of your dreams. If that thing shows up again, pull it out and whack it with your tail."

"It also said you're a big demon king and told me to defeat you!"

Little Ming Yu nodded, then puffed out his cheeks and complained angrily. "It's so mean."

"If you're the big demon king, then I'll be the little demon king! We're family, so we would never fight!"

He said the last sentence with absolute seriousness and conviction.

As if he were stating an undeniable truth.

A great fire left not a single roof tile of the Ming estate in the Southern Lands intact.

Ming Jin gave his younger brother the chance to live. He had thought he would pass on to the underworld, but to his surprise, he awoke once more inside his brother's body.

From a lonely ghost who feared the sunlight and clung to the mortal world, to the Qianyu Sword Venerable, who slew a hundred demons with his sword and inspired fear in all who knew his name: Ming Jin spent a full century making that journey.

He could calmly accept old friends going their separate ways and the world changing around him.

But Ming Yu was the one person he could never bring himself to let go of.

They were twins, two halves of each other, each indispensable to the other.

They shared the same blood and leaned on each other for warmth.

They had never been apart, and never would be.
