[Reconciliation after a breakup] [Rental-apartment romance] [Reunited after years apart]
A gaming legend, sunny before the breakup and brooding afterward x a big star, gentle before the breakup and cold afterward
Meng Bufan had heard plenty of praise and well-wishes, but she only remembered what Lu Chunsheng had said.
They were so young that year. They shared a bed countless times in that shabby rental apartment.
Twenty-year-old Chunsheng loved her most. A once-in-thirty-years blizzard brought down the roof beams, and everyone thought it was their last day. Chunsheng held her close and poured out all her love.
Twenty-year-old Chunsheng hated her most. Standing amid the shattered glass scattered across the rental apartment, she smiled as if she were crying. "Meng Bufan, I hope you go far and achieve great things, and live an extraordinary life."
Twenty-year-old Meng Bufan had nothing: no money, no love, only Chunsheng's curse-like blessing.
Later, Meng Bufan really did live an extraordinary life.
The game Spring Returns conquered the country and gained a legion of devoted fans.
The forum was constantly buzzing with hot threads, all discussing one thing: How do you trigger the hidden quest "Spring Never Falls"?
Two years after Spring Returns launched, no one had cleared it.
Later, Spring Returns was adapted for film and television, and the creative team livestreamed themselves playing the game. Suddenly, an announcement appeared in the game's world.
"First clear on the server! Congratulations to player [Lu Chunsheng] for claiming the top spot on the leaderboard!"
The livestream instantly froze like a slideshow. Everyone wanted to know how the female lead had figured out the trigger condition for "Spring Never Falls."
Facing the camera, Lu Chunsheng smiled without a hint of warmth. "Just a coincidence."
A few days later, the official Spring Returns account posted:
"It wasn't a coincidence. It was because it was you."
