Gentle beauty uke vs. long-haired crybaby seme

-

[Child's-eye-view blurb]

A strange woman lives next door to Jiang Guiyun.

The strange woman isn't strange during the day. She speaks in a gentle Jiangnan accent, and she's always kind and polite to everyone, but there's a sadness in her eyes that never seems to fade.

The strange woman also has a strange child.

The child is timid and cries easily. He has long hair, and there's something feminine about him at such a young age. But when he looks up at Jiang Guiyun with his delicate little face all flushed, he looks just like a tiny, exquisitely carved doll. One giggle, and it's obvious he's a warm little sun.

At night, the strange woman smashes things, hits him, and yells at him.

The strange child still cries easily.

But that's the strangest part.

Because they're not like that during the day.

Jiang Guiyun's parents won't let him interfere in other people's family affairs.

He can't do anything about it. But one night, when his parents aren't home, Jiang Guiyun quietly opens the door and comes face-to-face with a pair of tearful eyes.

Jiang Guiyun didn't interfere in someone else's family affairs. That strange child ran into his house.

And called him big brother.

He was only doing his duty as an older brother.
