Transmigrated into a Detective Dating Sim as a Background Character

An unconventional wish-fulfillment novel with a focus on suspense, deduction, and solving crimes.

Police academy student Lu Pingsheng transmigrates into the wildly popular crime-detective romance game Stalker of the Dark Night. To her misfortune, she becomes a background character who dies right from the start: a minor police officer whose role is to unlock the game's prologue.

To stay alive, she must first survive the opening-day murder, then wait out the six months until the game's protagonist arrives.

But in a stroke of both good and bad luck,

she gets bound to a [Killer Roleplay System], a System that teaches people how to commit the perfect crime.

To stay alive, she grits her teeth and turns this [Killer] System into an "inverse crime-solving guide."

"Captain, if I were the killer, I wouldn't leave this piece of evidence at the scene, even if the police were already downstairs..." The System's simulation has her destroy it outright! Leaving behind this "murder weapon" would be no different from turning herself in. That's how you mislead the police!

"Specially appointed expert, don't you think the psychological profile for this case is a little too perfect?" And you, the psychological expert, why does your profile point to her? You're accusing an innocent person!

And when a handsome suspect corners her against the wall, she remains cool and composed. "Sir, there's a logical flaw in your method. How can you call this a perfect crime?" Never mind whether she put that flaw there herself!

All she wants is to quietly keep her head down and wait for the protagonist.

But while she's struggling to survive, the plot goes completely off the rails.

Why are all the male leads and supporting characters fixated on her?
