My Child's Father Came Looking for Me

The most impulsive thing Zhao Yan ever did was take pity on a child and bring him home from an orphanage when he was twenty.

Yan Ning was a rose he'd raised and pampered with his own hands, the only splash of color in his black-and-white world.

So when the security footage showed Su family's dissolute second young master pinning Yan Ning against a sports car and kissing him, Zhao Yan lost his temper with him for the first time.

Yan Ning's eyes glistened with tears as he clutched Zhao Yan's sleeve. "We truly love each other."

Zhao Yan held his chin and wiped away the tear at the corner of his eye. His voice was gentle yet cold. "Be good. He just tricked you."

Yan Ning cried, made a scene, threatened to kill himself, and was caught trying to elope.

Yan Ning was drugged unconscious and put straight on a plane abroad.

His eyes red, he trembled with anger. "Zhao Yan, I hate you! I'll never forgive you, not in this lifetime! We'll never have anything to do with each other again!"

After that, the two of them cut ties completely.

Three years later, Yan Ning returned to the country in a blaze of attention, holding the hand of an adorable little child. He appeared at the Zhao family's annual gala.

The little one lifted a beautiful face just like Yan Ning's, opened his big round eyes, and softly called out to the man in the seat of honor, "Daddy..."

The whole room erupted.

Zhao Yan's gaze swept past the little one and settled on the older one. Without batting an eye, he took the child and wrapped his other arm firmly around Yan Ning's waist. "You're both coming home with me."

But their peaceful days lasted only a few days

Three distinguished, top-tier Alphas showed up at the door and spoke in unison.

"I'm the child's father."

Yan Ning blinked innocently, curled up in Zhao Yan's arms, and tugged at his clothes as he pretended to hide his face and sob. "I don't know either... There were just too many people that night..."

The whole room fell silent.

Everyone waited to see the head of the Zhao family become a laughingstock.

But Zhao Yan rose calmly, gathering Yan Ning and the little bundle into his arms, and declared with conviction:

"Listen up. If the child came out of Ningning's belly, then it's mine, Zhao Yan's."
