! If you want to use my characters as stand-ins, reverse the couple's roles, and then insult this story, message me and I'll refund you. You're hitting all my and my readers' trigger points in every possible way. I won't be polite, so get lost and stay as far away as you can.
The cover is permanently off limits for stand-ins. I hate this behavior, and don't make any more disrespectful remarks about the artist! Otherwise, I'll just feel sorry for you.
The main story is told from the top Pei Yan's / Zhang Yu's (Pei Yan's clone) point of view. Since Pei Yan has no memories in the early chapters, the blurb is told from the bottom Lu Shuangqing's point of view to make the plot clear.
Blurb:
Everyone praises Pei Yan, master of the Baizhu Mountain Manor, for slaughtering the Three Mountains and Five Realms on behalf of his sect, mourning for a thousand years with his hair loose and robes open. What loyalty and righteousness!
Only his senior brother Lu Shuangqing, whose heart he pierced with a single sword, knows that every step this villain took was on the blood and bones of their sect.
After a thousand years of dying with regrets, Lu Shuangqing opens his eyes one day to find himself a carefree youth on Sheyue Mountain.
He spends his days playing with cats and dogs, and casually works his newly taken junior brother, Zhang Yu, too hard.
After all, surely a person can't fall in the same place twice... right?
After gradually realizing that his junior brother is becoming more and more like someone
Lu Shuangqing: ...Apparently, you can.
-
Among the crumbling ruins, the shattered golden statue's eyes meet Lu Shuangqing's.
Only when he sees that the statue's features resemble his own does Lu Shuangqing finally understand the true reason for his resurrection:
That madman Pei Yan actually placed him in the shrines of three thousand temples, making him the recipient of offerings from the whole world.
Unable to understand, he angrily draws his sword and points its frosty blade at the young man approaching at an unhurried pace.
Pei Yan acts as if he feels no pain, intently tracing the lines of his face. Then he suddenly chuckles. "Don't you think he looks just like you, Senior Brother?" His voice is wistful and affectionate. "Thank goodness... I didn't forget what you looked like."
[Little scene before Zhang Yu's identity is revealed: A poor boy works hard to support a rich, handsome man]
(Zhang Yu = Pei Yan / Lu Sanqi = Lu Shuangqing)
When Zhang Yu earned his first pot of gold, he had already planned everything out in his head:
His senior brother is skilled at artifact crafting, so I need to get him more equipment. He's nearly out of ink and calligraphy paper, so I should stock up. The other disciples keep coming and going in front of the house, and it's annoying. I should build a fence...
He planned everything in meticulous detail, bit by bit.
But Lu Sanqi mused, "Has Xuexue Tower released a new perfume?"
Zhang Yu: ...Do I look like perfume to you?
Even though he was utterly disgusted, Zhang Yu still went to Xuexue Tower to shop.
Tsundere, cold-faced, devoted, yandere widower junior-brother top x carefree, lazy, slacker, benevolent saintly senior-brother bottom
Note:
1. The bottom is turned gay, but he likes the top very much even before falling in love. The top is even more hopelessly in love. When they're together, it's as if no one else exists in the world.
2. Extremely melodramatic. Not suitable for fans of either the top or the bottom.
3. My take on cultivation is entirely based on original worldbuilding.
4. I don't want to hear talk about the top being split into clones. Here's a spoiler: if the top has clones, they're clones, and the bottom has clones too.
Theme: As heaven's movement is ever vigorous, a noble person should strive without cease.
