Chi Xiufan transmigrates into the cultivation world of his dreams!
Good news: he’s a rising star among the demonic factions, and the leader of a sect!
Bad news: the leader of the righteous sects, Shen Tu Lin, the master of the Divine Dream Sword Sect, has come to wipe them all out!
The entire sect is in chaos, scrambling to escape. Chi Xiufan waves his sleeve. “Don’t panic! Your sect leader’s got this!”
After years of reading web novels, he could write an entire book on how to become an overpowered protagonist!
Overpowered Protagonist Survival Rule 1: [A great man can bend and stretch. Don’t sweat the small stuff!]
The instant Shen Tu Lin’s peerless sword light hit the ground, Chi Xiufan grabbed his leg.
“Please spare us, Sect Master Shen! I’ll lead the entire sect to mend our ways. From now on, we’ll do a good deed every day and uphold justice!”
Overpowered Protagonist Survival Rule 5: [Recruit followers and win people’s hearts!]
Chi Xiufan was “pardoned” and forced to separate from his followers, serving Shen Tu Lin instead.
So what?
He could give one person pointers on cultivation today and help someone else repair a magical artifact tomorrow... Sincerity is the ultimate weapon. Why worry about failing to win over followers?
If only those Sword Sect disciples didn’t report back to their sect leader right away: “Chi Xiufan is a very warmhearted person. It’s just that he keeps trying to persuade me, openly and discreetly, to leave the righteous path for the demonic one. I mean, to leave the demonic path for the righteous one...”
Overpowered Protagonist Survival Rule 12: [Think things through. Use your enemy’s strength against them!]
Shen Tu Lin still wouldn’t let him go. Chi Xiufan got desperate. “If you won’t appreciate my kindness, don’t blame me for what happens next!”
The Sword Sect had long been a thorn in the demonic factions’ side, and now they had an inside man.
One day, a horde of demonic cultivators suddenly appeared inside and outside the sect. The Demon Lord himself had arrived. Chi Xiufan sat back in the woodshed, watching the fight, and finally, freedom was within reach...
Wait, why was Shen Tu Lin here?!
The Sword Sect master’s long sword was stained with blood. His eyes were as dark as the eternal night, revealing no emotion as he lifted Chi Xiufan’s chin with two fingers. “Well done.”
Chi Xiufan: “...?!?!”
Overpowered Protagonist Survival Rule 26: [Everything has two sides. A crisis is also an opportunity!]
It looked like raising his cultivation was the only way to break free of his shackles.
Chi Xiufan finally managed to contact the sect’s elders. “Send me your highest-grade demonic manual. Now!”
The next day, a battered old manual appeared in Chi Xiufan’s hands. Its opening line made things clear: “This cultivation method is for dual cultivation, and is not restricted by gender...”
Chi Xiufan: .
Overpowered Protagonist Survival Rule N: [Control the emperor to command the lords. Everyone has a weakness. Find it!]
Unfortunately, Shen Tu Lin was all alone. He didn’t even care whether the Sword Sect survived or fell, so he had no weaknesses at all.
Chi Xiufan’s back was nearly broken from all the exertion. At last, he could take no more and steeled himself.
He stared at his belly. “If I can’t find an emperor, I’ll make one!”
Not long afterward, the whole Sword Sect was jubilant, spreading the news everywhere: “The Sect Master’s wife is expecting! Our Sword Sect is finally going to have a young sect master!!!”
#A villainous bottom who first tries to escape the clutches of the righteous sect, then attempts to run away with the baby x A cold-faced, scheming righteous top who only wants to keep his little troublemaker by his side#
Much later, Chi Xiufan angrily took the child and moved to a villa in the back mountains. Shen Tu Lin came to fetch them himself.
Chi Xiufan said coldly, “Please leave, Sect Master Shen.”
After a long silence, Shen Tu Lin asked, “Have you ever considered that Shen Tu is a compound surname?”
Chi Xiufan’s face fell. Damn it, I’ve read so many novels. How did I never see a protagonist with the surname Shen Tu?! No wonder I can’t outsmart this old fox!!!
