A not-so-serious synopsis:
◎ Class 205 at No. 1 High has a withdrawn, top-student Buddha of a boy. One day, another top student transfers in, a dramatic little menace.
In their classmates' eyes, the two can't stand each other. Whenever something bad happens, they immediately suspect the other one. They even get into a fight and end up in front of the school administrators.
Shen Ting finds everything about his new desk mate annoying.
On the morning of his first day, the new guy points at Shen Ting's seat.
He raises an eyebrow and says, "I'm sitting here from now on."
Shen Ting: Kid, you're pretty full of yourself.
That afternoon, the new guy picks a fight with some thugs outside school.
Trapped in an alley, he gives Shen Ting a lingering look. "Shen, help me."
The thugs look over at Shen Ting.
Shen Ting turns off his phone. "Damn it."
By the end of his first week, he sends Shen Ting a... love letter?!!!
A love letter written seven years ago?!!
The serious synopsis
Shen Ting meets a kind and considerate online friend, and they talk freely about everything.
The guy never bothers him. He's like a sunny-day doll quietly keeping him company.
Later, Qi Zhi disappears without a trace.
Then one day, Qi Zhi posts a picture on the website.
Shen Ting: This looks familiar. I'm not sure. Let me take another look.
Isn't that the new profile picture of his annoying, high-maintenance transfer student desk mate?!!
A corner of Shen Ting's clothes is visible in the picture, too.
Shen Ting is just thinking of asking the other guy about it the next day.
But that very night, he receives an email.
It's very formal...
Who the hell sends a love letter by email?!
And it's from his pain-in-the-neck desk mate. The letter is dated seven years ago?!!
Shen Ting: "Are you messing with me?"
The next day, Shen Ting grabs the damn love letter, picks up an old, discarded stick, and corners He Qizhi at the entrance to an alley.
"To hell with this. Did we even know each other seven years ago?!"
* The shou used to be the boss of the local hoodlums, but now he's a well-rounded top student!
* The gong is a drama queen.
* Qi Zhi is just someone who quietly keeps Shen Ting company. There's no deep meaning to it. People like that exist online in real life, too.
* The shou has had a rough life, but he's a strong, independent sweetheart. He's sharp-tongued and doesn't say what he really feels.
* A short, sweet, modern 1v1 romance.
* A note on physics, chemistry, and politics: these are subjects students can choose under China's new college entrance exam system. Students take three compulsory core subjects, Chinese, math, and English, plus one of either physics or history, and any two of the remaining four subjects. In some provinces, the scores are adjusted according to a grading system, and this combination is possible.
* This story doesn't use the adjusted grading system. The score you get is the score you get.
* The place and school names in this story are fictional. If they happen to match real ones, please don't take offense.
(It's not very good, so please don't hate on it.)

Transmigrating into the Youth of a Treacherous Official
Shen Congxi transmigrates.
He becomes the heir to a noble house with a wealthy maternal family, a happy household, and brothers who get along... but soon, the treacherous official Ji Jianxue will frame him, and his entire clan will be wiped out.
So by day, Shen Congxi is a sickly young heir. By night, he is Master Yuanzhu, gathering upright scholars and impeaching corrupt officials.
But the young treacherous official has already risen to power.
Shen Congxi moves on to Plan 2: assassination.
They say the Tianxia Tower of the martial world asks no questions about a client's identity. It can assassinate high-ranking officials or wipe out an entire family of three generations, and it has never failed.
There's just one condition: the target must have harmed ordinary people.
Shen Congxi claps his hands in delight. "That's perfect! It's practically made for me!"
Isn't Ji Jianxue a heartless, ruthless official who harms the innocent, throws the court into chaos, and indirectly brings suffering to the people?
With two layers of protection in place, Shen Congxi uses Master Yuanzhu's connections to get into the Tianxia Tower.
Shen Congxi: "Bring me the most skilled person you have. I want to buy Ji Jianxue's life. Money is no object."
The deputy tower master: ???
Who? You want to assassinate our tower master?
Ji Jianxue, standing nearby: ...
And then...
Shen Congxi happily hires the top-ranked assassin in the Tianxia Tower, its tower master.
Mainly because the tower master's face is very pleasing to the eye, beautiful enough to put a fish to shame and make geese fall from the sky.
But after several failed assassination attempts, and remembering the description in the book, Shen Congxi realizes: Why does this tower master have exactly the same personality as Ji Jianxue?!!!
So, on the very night they talk sweetly and romantically, Shen Congxi has "Master Yuanzhu" meet an untimely end and starts Plan 3: entering court under his real identity.
But on his very first day at court, Ji Jianxue pins Shen Congxi against the palace wall.
Ji Jianxue gives him a sinister smile. "Young heir, have you ever been to the Tianxia Tower?"
Shen Congxi, feeling guilty: "No, I haven't. Don't make things up."
* A 1v1 romance between two equally powerful characters.
* Everyone says the young heir is sickly and useless. He really is sickly, but he's not useless!
Theme: Every inch of time is worth its weight in gold.
"After class, Xia Yu's wine was tasted like..." This is a big bug for the author~ "Wine" should be "just" [Panda Head]
