One day, Rami, a homebody often dismissed as an unemployed layabout, is forced to take over a relative's shop: Dawn Cafe.

Most people would probably work hard to become a proper manager. But she plans to slack off once the transition period is over, and discovers that the customers at the cafe are all a little... strange?

The beautiful woman with the muscles of the fifty-meter giant from the livestream says:

"You'd better stay away from the neighboring district for the next few days. There might be monsters around."

Oh, got it. One of those virtual monster-collecting games, right?

There'll probably be a huge crowd of players, all packed together. Games like that were pretty popular a few years ago, though back then people were catching little spirits, not monsters.

The passionate idiot who doesn't look too bright and laughs way too loudly says:

"Hey, boss! You mean my injury? Oh, I was saving a kid this morning when a monster, a big truck, I mean, clipped me. It's nothing!"

If getting clipped by a "big truck" can make you smile like that, I don't know whether to call you lucky or sturdy. Still, you'd better get checked out at a hospital.

The five high school students dressed in the signature colors of a hero team seem to hold a meeting every time they eat together:

"Online support for the team has been steadily increasing lately. Let's keep it up."

Youth is wonderful.

They're certainly devoted fans.

Come to think of it, don't high schoolers wear uniforms these days?

And there are all sorts of suspicious people... like the one who walks around with a smoke effect and an obscured face.

Whenever they see the news on TV about the Guardians defeating evil once again, they let out a sinister "Heh, heh, heh."

She tries to remind them, "This is a smoke-free establishment, you know?"

The person goes quiet for two seconds, and the smoke vanishes in a flash.

Great, everyone's a good kid.

No one can disturb the peace at Dawn Cafe: not evil organizations, not righteous institutions, and not monsters or Guardians.

"Would you like a cup of coffee at dawn?"

Maybe you'd like to order another serving of ordinary life, too.

1. An original tokusatsu setting in a fictional world, with no real-life counterparts. References to the three major tokusatsu franchises are limited to jokes and parodies.

2. Female lead, no romance pairing, with an ensemble cast. Expect plenty of tokusatsu-style coincidences, deadpan nonsense, and comedy.

3. I'm not sure whether this will appeal to people who aren't tokusatsu fans, but I'll try to make it accessible.

4. But I'm not cutting any of the shouted transformation calls. Think of them as embarrassing transformation routines involving chanting and flailing around.

5. The author is fragile, just an ordinary tokusatsu fan passing by. My views of heroes are traditional and simple. If you don't like it, please don't tell me.

6. The cast includes women, men, people of indeterminate gender, people with no gender, and ???. The author and the protagonist are both women, so the protagonist will always get my unconditional favoritism.
