"Mo Cun" tells the story of a young man named "Mo Cun" who lives like a ghost in a highly digitalized and capitalized modern city. He is a "data cleaner" responsible for removing "worthless" information from the Internet. This job symbolizes his relationship to the world: observing, sifting, erasing, but never truly participating. The death of his mother, an absurd love affair, and an act of "violence" where the boundaries between digital and physical blurred, finally pushed him to the trial seat. However, it is not the law that judges him, but the morality, emotion and value system of the entire society. In captivity and exile, Mo Cun completed the transformation from "outsider" to "observer", and finally found his own freedom and salvation that transcended worldly meanings in the universal truth that "heaven and earth are unkind".
Intention: Found my own freedom and salvation that transcends worldly meanings
