What does it feel like to wake up to a life in ruins from the start? Your mother is missing, you're living under someone else's roof, and your uncle's family exploits you, schemes against you, and plans to sell you...
After transmigrating to a continent of magic, Liz is so miserable she wants to howl at the sky: What kind of crap plot is this?
At least the stingy game's System she played before transmigrating came along too. But the ideal is wonderful, while reality is harsh. In the game, getting caught stealing from an NPC costs you reputation at worst. In real life, getting caught might cost you your life...
After escaping her rotten uncle's family, Liz investigates her mother's disappearance and discovers the truth is far more complicated than she'd imagined. She also gets caught up in one strange incident after another, and a vast conspiracy begins to unfold...
During her adventures, Liz happens upon a delicious-looking slime.
"How much for this slime?"
"You've got a great eye! This is a rare, mutated Golden Slime. I'll give you a special price today, just one gold coin. Step right up, don't miss out!"
"But it looks like it's about to die." This vendor really had the nerve to name that outrageous price.
"It can't possibly die. It's just sleeping." The vendor picked up the cage and shook it hard. "Hey, wake up!"
After being shaken violently, the slime barely opened its eyes, spat out a puddle of acid, then promptly passed out again.
"..."
"..."
"I told you it wasn't healthy." Liz shot the vendor a sideways glance.
"It's fine. The slime just has a little indigestion. Give it a couple days and it'll be fine. Since you like it so much, I'll lower the price. Eighty silver coins."
"Don't treat me like an idiot, mister. Ordinary slimes only cost one or two silver coins. This one looks like it's on its last legs, and it probably won't taste very good, either. Two silver coins. Take it or leave it." Liz used the ultimate bargaining technique: she turned to walk away.
"At least offer a little more! I'd be taking a huge loss at that price."
"Then never mind." Liz turned and walked away from the stall without a second thought, secretly counting down in her head. "Three, two..."
"Wait!" It worked! Liz was overjoyed, but kept her face perfectly calm. This was the moment her acting skills had to shine.
"All right, all right, fine. You can have it!"
Liz poured a bottle of Purification Potion down the slime's throat, only to find it had no effect at all. She'd thought she'd soon be savoring a delicious slime, but instead she'd spent even more money and now had to look after it for a while. She'd lost both money and goods, and was so furious she wanted to howl at the sky.
Oblivious, blissfully enjoying being petted, fake slime, actually a lovelorn prince in dire straits: "My wife pet me, my wife loves me, my wife cuddles me~"
Liz, laughing as she pats the slime on the head: "My backup provisions are growing strong again today~"

"A British Composer in the 1980s"
In 1979, Evelyn opens her eyes while burning with a high fever, remembering that in her previous life she was an independent musician in China.
But Evelyn has no intention of going back to her old line of work. Remembering how she used to gloat over getting a bunch of low-paying gigs on the platform, then suffer through revising them late into the night, she swears she'll choose a career that makes her rich this time around!
Musician? Even a dog wouldn't
Do it! She's going into music! Through a twist of fate, Evelyn ends up in the same industry again, and finds herself loving it after all.
Brother: "Sis, I just found a job with a decent salary."
Evelyn, delighted: "Oh? What kind of job?"
Her brother, smug: "I'm going to be the lead singer in a band. How's that? I'm pretty impressive, huh!"
"What?" Evelyn's mind instantly filled with an image of a bunch of drug-abusing, long-haired weirdos in bizarre outfits. She was horrified. "No way! Quit right now!"
Her brother: "I'm afraid I can't. I signed a contract."
Evelyn: "So what if you signed a contract? Your legs still work, don't they?"
Her brother: "It says I'll have to pay a huge penalty if I quit without notice."
Evelyn snatched the contract and looked it over. Her vision went black. "Why did this band choose you, an amateur? And why would a band job have a penalty clause?"
Her brother shrugged. "Probably because the last few lead singers left for all kinds of reasons: excessive drug use, sleeping with a bandmate's girlfriend, brawling, schizophrenia... They were out of options, so they hired me."
Evelyn: "&%¥#*..." The stereotype had come true. She really had stumbled into a den of demons!
Theme: Even in adversity, keep reaching for the light.
I thought about it ten thousand times, but forgot to say that I would pay for it.
The prince has turned into an idiot!
Although, Liz, have you ever thought about blowing up the railroad tracks...
Ah ah ah, I'm so anxious after reading this
