Content warnings:
1. First person. "I" am a girl, the protagonist and narrator of this book. I'm a little awkward and my grades are average.
2. The main story has a bad ending: the love goes nowhere, and it's unrequited throughout. There is a romance, but not much of it. The extras have a happy ending.
3. It's written like a diary, and a very uneventful one at that. There is no main plot. It really is "my" diary, with no dramatic twists, just "my" everyday life throughout three years of high school.
4. "SaKi" is the name the owner of the diary, "I," gave the boy she has a crush on. Its meaning and his real name will remain a secret for now.
5. Although this is a school story, it takes place in a fictional world, on a continent somewhat different from our own. The main differences are:
① The story takes place on the Xingyao Nine Provinces Continent. The title of each chapter is a year in its calendar.
② All senior-year high school students on the continent take a unified exam called the "Continental Exam," or the "Big Exam" for short. High schools don't separate students by academic track, and the Big Exam covers nine subjects, so the protagonist isn't assigned to a particular class.

Content warnings / Reader's Guide
1. The heroine is 25, the hero is 34. There is a nine-year age gap.
2. The heroine has a terrible reputation from the start, and many people will curse her out. She is also deeply insecure because of it, and develops mental health issues. She won't remain down forever, but it takes a long time for her to recover.
3. Her recovery is not a straight line. She will have ups and downs, and her personality and outlook will fluctuate too.
4. All the online abuse directed at the heroine in the story is based on rumors and lies. She is somewhat depressed and insecure, and also has some trauma responses. At first, she turns everything inward and believes she doesn't deserve anyone's kindness or goodwill.
5. The main couple both enter into Marriage Before Love. They gradually fall for each other, bit by bit. At the start, they have a degree of mutual fondness, but they aren't in love.
6. The hero has an ex-girlfriend. He never loved her, and theirs was not a serious relationship. They had no physical or intimate contact and broke up within a week. They were only together in name, for a very particular reason that will be explained in the main story.
7. They are each other's first and only partners, and first loves. The couple have no children, and will not adopt or take in any later. The reason will be explained in the main story.
8. The heroine's poor mental state is described in great detail in the early and middle parts of the novel.
9. The characters aren't based on real people. Please don't read them that way.
