[Journey to the West] The Tang Dynasty's Holy Monk Sure Can Talk

Tang Xuan, who had always lived in humanity's most prosperous age, transmigrates into a monk burdened with the important mission of retrieving the scriptures. But when he sees the gods and Buddhas throughout the heavens enjoying the incense offerings of mortals while letting demons and monsters run rampant in the human world, Tang Xuan is furious...

Tang Xuan: This humble monk may not know martial arts, but I do understand a thing or two about reason.

Wukong: Master may have the face of a coward, but he isn't scared of anything. He even dares to take on Buddha and the Bodhisattvas. I, old Sun, will have to care for Master until the end of his days.

Tang Xuan: There's really no need.

Bajie: What? Split up the luggage? Who said anything about splitting up the luggage? This old pig still has to show Master plenty of respect (watch the fun)!

Tang Xuan: What? You want to split up my luggage?

Sha Seng: Master, another living Bodhisattva has come to deliver treasures to us. The treasures are all ours.

Tang Xuan: Don't say the quiet part out loud.

Gods and Buddhas throughout the heavens: Tang Sanzang, retrieving the scriptures is all about human relationships and social conventions. Why don't you understand?

Tang Xuan: Might makes right.

Common folk: The Great Tang's holy monk cares for the people, slays demons, and rids the world of evil. Truly, he bears the grace of a great nation.

Tang Xuan: Otherwise, wouldn't all my work have been for nothing?
