Author's note: I've seen quite a few people sending me tips, so I wanted to pop in and let you know. On my way to work early last month, I was hit and thrown off my little electric scooter by a huge delivery truck (and it really was a huge one). I spent over half a month in the hospital, got more than a dozen stitches, and still haven't healed. I've also been busy dealing with insurance and work, so I can usually only log on long enough to send you all some red envelopes and things like that. I've already got a good idea of the outline for this novel. I'll work on it alongside the one I'm releasing for public testing, so please don't rush to send me tips! Thank you so, so much for loving it, babies qwq. I'll return the gifts I've received through the same channels. It's not that I'm giving up on this novel! I really don't feel comfortable accepting them. I hope I can see you all again when I start posting it~

"I'll make some small changes to the blurb later, but the core premise won't change."
-
Yu Rang is the beloved young master of the Yu family. Precious and pampered, he's a spoiled little tyrant whom everyone indulges and dotes on.
That is, until he turns eight and moves into a new house with his parents. A boy two years older than him moves in with them, too.
His parents point to the cold-faced bookworm who appeared out of nowhere and tell him, "Call him Big Brother."
-
On the first day at the Yu home, Pei Zhou tells him, "We'll stay out of each other's way."
Yu Rang watches his parents' love for him get divided in two and glares at Pei Zhou.
To hell with staying out of each other's way!
Determined to protect his place in the family and get his parents to send Pei Zhou away, Yu Rang thinks long and hard. At last, he decides to get close to Pei Zhou and find fault with him, so their parents will hate him!
Pei Zhou is a bookworm who likes peace and quiet. He hardly ever leaves his room, usually spending his time reading by himself.
So, for the next while, Yu Rang does everything he can to annoy him. He acts cute, plays the good boy, and trots after Pei Zhou, calling him "Big Brother"!
After Yu Rang has followed him around for more than half a month, Pei Zhou, fed up with the kid, sighs and turns to face the little squirt who's been calling "Big Brother, Big Brother, Big Brother" nonstop.
Yu Rang: o.0?
Before he can say a word, his half-a-head-taller brother calmly looks at him and asks, "Had enough fun?"
Yu Rang: 0.0!
Oh no. He's figured out the plan.
-
Once his true nature is laid bare, Yu Rang stops acting cute and calling Pei Zhou "Big Brother." The two spend the next ten years in utter chaos.
During those years, Yu Rang's parents are often away on business trips, so they regularly leave him in the care of the dependable Pei Zhou.
Only after they're left alone does Yu Rang realize that Pei Zhou isn't nearly as composed as he seems.
Everything about how he acted in front of Yu Rang's parents was an act!
Especially when Yu Rang gets into trouble and accidentally puts someone in the hospital. The gloomy look on his nominal big brother's face as he steps in to sort things out scares Yu Rang so much that he turns to run
In the next second, someone grabs both his hands and pins him in place. He can't move at all.
The scolding he expects never comes. Pei Zhou lowers his eyes, rubs Yu Rang's palm, then pinches his cheek and asks, "Did your hand get hurt?"
Yu Rang's eyes turn red. He doesn't move.
-
Pei Zhou has always known that Yu Rang hates him. The young master is haughty and unruly, and impossible to please.
But Pei Zhou is living under someone else's roof. To repay the Yu family, he can only do his best to fulfill his duty as an older brother.
That is, until he sees someone slandering him in front of Yu Rang. For the first time, the young master gets so angry that he sends the person to the hospital.
For once, Pei Zhou realizes that maybe the young master isn't as impossible to win over as he'd thought.
