[Two actors, one performance.]
[Gentle and honest (a tea-loving master of passive-aggressive remarks) uke x Trouble-making (the perfect, considerate husband) seme]
Bai Min is the picture-perfect young master of an aristocratic family.
He's obedient and sensible, considerate toward his father and stepmother, and always puts the family first. Even when his father tells him to marry a man he's never met for an arranged alliance, he smiles and agrees.
Afraid he'll regret it, his father tells him that his new husband's family situation is complicated and his groom-to-be is a complete scoundrel. Bai Min is the very picture of understanding and says, "It's all right, Father. As long as it makes the family better, I don't mind what happens to me."
His words bring tears to his hypocritical father's eyes.
But after seeing his father out, Bai Min locks the door, opens his encrypted chat history, and lets a different smile spread across his face...
[Darling, I'll wait outside your house the day before your wedding. I've already bought our tickets overseas.]
But he never expected his lover to disappear the day before the wedding.
The calls wouldn't go through.
The texts went unanswered.
The house had already been cleared out.
All that remained was their photo album, carelessly discarded on the floor.
Bai Min set the album on fire.
He spent the night drunk.
The next day, he went through with the wedding without so much as blinking.
Bai Min's married life is miserable.
His husband causes trouble and never comes home. His father-in-law gives him a hard time every day, and all kinds of relatives go out of their way to make snide remarks...
Bai Min endures it again and again, until, half a month later, he transmigrates.
He returns to the first day of his marriage.
From then on, Bai Min is trapped in an endless loop of the first half-month of married life, facing one outrageous situation after another countless times.
After going back again and again, Bai Min figures it out.
If the story keeps looping, then every event in those three months must reset.
So he lets loose. He curses out his father-in-law, tears into his relatives, slaps the scumbag, and gives every person and thing he can't stand a proper dressing-down.
But just when everything is a complete mess and he goes to sleep, perfectly at peace as he waits for the next loop, a shooting star streaks across the sky.
The next morning, a handsome man is standing by his bed. He runs his thumb suggestively over Bai Min's lips. "My wife, how is it that even your insults sound so lovely?"
Bai Min catches sight of the furniture he smashed to pieces outside and his father-in-law's resentful expression, and only then realizes the truth:
The loop has stopped!
He wants the earth to swallow him up. Hiding his face beneath the covers, he awkwardly tries to explain himself. "Um, there may have been some misunderstandings about what happened before..."
Before he can finish, his husband takes his hand and gazes at him affectionately. "I know. It's all my fault for staying away from home so long and making you suffer. I'll take good care of you from now on."
Bai Min: "..."
This isn't how it was supposed to go!
Why is the troublemaking, walking calamity from all the rumors stealing my role?!
Tips:
1. Happy ending, both leads are sexually and romantically exclusive.
2. The uke takes his mother's surname.
3. The uke appears to be a gentle young master, but inside he's jaded and fragile. He has no great ambitions and just wants a peaceful life, which is why he puts up with everything at first. After the loop stops, he keeps putting people in their place, and the story stays satisfying.
4. The seme loves the uke deeply. Circumstances force things at the beginning, but after that he makes up for it with twice the sweetness.
Theme: Believe in the good
