Qian Ying thinks transmigrating to another world from the start and getting caught in a male lead showdown is perfectly normal.
What she never expected was to find herself in an Uchiha showdown.
And even less did she expect her romance System to be a little off, too.
“What kind of boys does Qian Ying like?”
[Shisui and Itachi are curious about your ideal type. How should you answer?]
[A: I like energetic guys.]
[B: I like dependable guys.]
Qian Ying struggles to figure out which option will raise the corresponding male lead’s favorability. But the next second, the System inexplicably upgrades itself to a beta version!
The options suddenly take a sharp turn.
[A: I like them big!]
[B: I like guys who are good with their hands!]
Qian Ying’s vision goes black.
Fortunately, aside from making her showdown an unnerving exercise in public humiliation, the System is at least a little useful. Whether that usefulness is appropriate, however, is debatable.
[ Sasuke is curious about what secret you’ve learned. Which one should you tell him?]
[A: You’ll be an orphan in the future.]
[B: It all starts with a story about a Kamui that can’t hide its tears.]
Qian Ying: Forget about whether he’ll be an orphan. What does “a Kamui that can’t hide its tears” even mean?
The male contestants:
Itachi: Childhood friends, close as can be. What a waste of a great hand.
Shisui: A master of romantic competition. The other woman who almost took the official pairing’s place.
Obito: Once the chosen one of fate, but some broken mirrors can’t be mended.
Sasuke: Too young. No touching!
Kakashi: I thought this was supposed to be an Uchiha showdown, so why am I here?!
Reader notes:
1. The clan massacre achievement has not been completed. This is an alternate timeline where Shisui survives.
2. The heroine pretends to be a lovesick fool but is actually a voracious predator, with severe White Knight Syndrome. She’ll do anything to make the person she loves happy, whether that means dying herself or someone else dying. (Someone else: Do I have to die too? Qian Ying: Yes.)
3. Kaguya’s alien backstory from the original work has been removed. Her character is instead based on the Kaguya from The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.
Qian Ying has a new character portrait! It was drawn by the wonderful Mao Nanbei DaZe! So pretty, so pretty, so pretty! The artist’s hands are magical. Kisses, kisses, kisses! I’m going to kiss Teacher Mao to death!
There’s also a new chibi portrait we commissioned. Qian Ying and all five male leads are gathered together. So cute, so cute!
Moral: Your choices should be in your own hands
