Wishful Thinking

Tan Wang is a wealthy young master born with a silver spoon, pampered and adored by everyone. He is also wild and arrogant, and no one catches his eye. The only exception is Song Mingheng, the childhood friend who grew up with him.

Tan Wang has been attached to the two-years-older boy since childhood. He works hard to get into the same university, hoping to be closer to him, only to discover that his childhood friend's gaze is always fixed on his poor roommate.

That impoverished student, Shen Yifeng, is cold and solitary, like a lonely ghost under the sun. Yet with just his handsome face, he steals all of Song Mingheng's tenderness.

Tan Wang watches coldly as his childhood friend gives Shen Yifeng his whole heart, watching all the love and tenderness he longs for go to someone else. All the young master's resentment and bitterness explode.

In a narrow alley, he looks down at the man kneeling on the ground and grinds his shoe into the man's jaw. "What do you think you are? You think you're worthy of going after him?"

Shen Yifeng looks up at him, his dark eyes as deep as a frozen pool. Blood stains the corners of his mouth, but he remains dignified and unafraid.

The fire in Tan Wang's heart roars to life, and he kicks him hard.

Who could have guessed that later he would fall for Shen Yifeng in that shabby little rented room, spending night after night entangled with the person he hated most?

On countless nights, Shen Yifeng pins him into a corner, biting his lips until they swell and redden. He cries until his throat is hoarse and he can't make a sound.

And the man who once knelt before him in such a wretched state now holds him by the waist with the air of a man in control, his voice cold with jealousy: "Did your Mingheng gege kiss you like this, too?"
