Daphne had heard all about Apollo long ago.
He was the most handsome of the gods, the embodiment of music and art, the supreme god of light.
And the killer of her dear friend.
At first, Apollo didn't even know that a nymph named Daphne existed.
As the most perfect god on Olympus, he naturally needed a perfect goddess by his side.
Though, so far, no perfect goddess seemed to have been born.
One day, as the light and shadows swayed in the forest, he caught sight of a figure.
It was only a casual glance, yet Apollo felt as if his heart had been struck.
It was a wildfire of jealousy, an uncontrollable, frenzied love, and the taste of rejection, something he had never experienced before.
...Why would a mere nymph refuse his advances?
Preposterous!
His reason was screaming, but his heart was spinning out of control: Apollo still wanted to see her, wanted to hold her...
This had to be the work of the god of love!!!
The young god of love, caught in the crossfire, replies:
Dear Apollo, God of Light,
Greetings! Thank you for your inquiry.
We regret to hear that you have recently developed symptoms including, but not limited to, "one-sided infatuation" and "being rejected by Daphne."
After verification, my divine arrows have not yet evolved to have these effects.
When things go wrong, look for the cause within yourself.
"Know thyself." Let us encourage one another.
Good luck ;p
[Two-line blurb]
Daphne: I'm just breathing.
Apollo: "What spell has that god of love put on me this time!!!"
[Beyond the blurb]
1. One-on-one pairing, happy ending, exclusive in body and heart.
2. You can enjoy the story without knowing the myths.
3. The style is a melodramatic romance. The goal is to torment Apollo.
4. The author knows nothing, and has taken many liberties. Everything serves the plot, so mythology buffs, please go easy on me.
5. Since Greek mythological names are so long, characters will be referred to by their divine role and name, such as "Aphrodite, Goddess of Beauty" and "Eros, God of Love." This way, readers who don't want to memorize the names can just remember the roles.
Theme: Know thyself
