Bright and brilliant genius girl Hua Ran x Lin Jincan, who wholeheartedly affirms Hua Ran, is hopelessly in love
Everyone's here for the laughs | School life in a county town in Northeast China | Ensemble cast | He has a secret crush | They find their way to each other | The renting-together trope
Romance-clueless girl x flamboyant peacock
Hua Ran's perspective:
What exactly are a girl's thoughts during her school days?
A one-of-a-kind matching charm hanging from her pencil case, just like her best friend's
(I don't get why, but Xiaobai said to hang it up, so I'll hang it up.)
Growing two or three centimeters in a month during a growth spurt, but now barely growing at all
(I really want to grow to 170 centimeters QAQ.)
Gradually having secrets from Mom and Dad that we don't talk about
(Of course, little Ranran, who loves Mom more than anyone, can't keep a secret from her.)
Or Lin Jincan, who suddenly barged into my dreams
(How weird. Why did I dream about him? I must not have gotten him back enough just now. I sat bolt upright despite being on my deathbed, and now I'm going to knock on the heating pipe in his room.)
Of course, as a proper high school student,
A real girl's thoughts are the smile that comes with earning a place at the top of the exam rankings, and the youthful spirit to fear no road ahead.
(Hehe, that's literary enough, right? Will I get a high score on this essay?)

Lin Jincan's perspective:
When Lin Jincan was sixteen, he met a strange girl.
Bright, clever, lively, spirited, loyal, kind, gentle, beautiful... So many lovely words could describe Hua Ran, and none of them would be too much.
He'd never dared imagine that a girl as wonderful as her would be willing to make him part of her life.
Until that day, at the crowded bus station,
Hua Ran showed up in front of Lin Jincan wearing a pink helmet and riding an electric scooter covered in cartoon stickers.
Cutting through the sea of people, all he heard was Hua Ran's loud, boisterous call:
"Get over here! The boss is taking you home!"
If fate and fortune really exist,
Lin Jincan felt that even if the first sixteen years of his life had been bleak, meeting Hua Ran made it all worthwhile.

On their way out into the world,
the greatest luck young people can have
is to meet friends who share their ideals,
and mentors who appreciate them,

set off together toward the next dazzling future.
[Mini Theater: The nickname Hua Ran gave Lin Jincan]
Not long after the start of term, after an in-class quiz,
Hua Ran, the chemistry class representative for Class 12, Grade 10, handed back the chemistry equation quizzes.
Maybe there hadn't been enough time. Most students had written in a rush, and since she didn't know everyone well yet, it was even harder to make out the names.
Hua Ran looked at the one with a score of 95. He'd only gotten one reaction condition wrong, just a little worse than her.
But that name...
LJL. What was that supposed to be?
Hua Ran tried to piece together which three characters it might stand for, and suddenly inspiration struck:
Old Stubborn Mule!?
Lin Jincan had just raised his hand to knock on the classroom door: ...
Important content warning: A cheerful, sweet story. All emotional events revolve around the heroine. The early story focuses on friendship, and the male lead doesn't feature much at first. The romantic sparks come later. It's a slow-burn story.
Reader's guide:
1. School life in a county town in Northeast China. You could probably call it a silly comedy. (Northeasterners are great at putting on a show, in my humble opinion.) The author wants to write a grand ensemble story and will do their best.
2. No golden finger, realistic setting, slow-paced everyday life, no outrageous plot twists, and all the relationships are youthful and sweet.
3. Told mainly from the heroine's perspective as a young girl explores the world during adolescence~
Hua Ran is the best, and we will brook no doubts or objections (the supporters speak for us).
The author's other work, Touching the Moon, starts at school and moves to the city. It's a prequel to Xincai High School, and the original setting for all my modern stories.

Both the romance and the friendship are a delight!
Theme: Youth should be wild and free.
