Xingchen doesn't dare look up. He grips the edge of his suit vest, his voice trembling. "H-hello, Uncle."

Can I still run away now?

To avoid being fed to the crocodiles, Xingchen puts his acting skills to full use, playing the harmless little nephew.

Until one day, Wen Ji corners him by the swimming pool.

Seeing the dangerous look in the man's eyes as he closes in step by step, Xingchen's urge to survive finally overcomes his acting. He turns and runs.

"Let go of me! I'm telling Grandpa!" he screams with a brave front, scrambling toward the edge with trembling legs.

The next second, a tight grip suddenly closes around his ankle.

Xingchen loses his balance and falls back into the water. Wen Ji catches him around the waist from behind and holds him tight against his chest.
