You En Beierboke is the embodiment of football's hardships: born in a slum, a miserable childhood, frequent injuries, endless transfers, and one runner-up finish after another. In 2028, at the age of 38, he falls once again just short of that gleaming Big Ears trophy. As he drops to his knees, he thinks, So this is football: always so cruel, and so real.
When he opens his eyes again, he sees his own chubby little hands. Before him is a room he knows all too well, and his parents, who died many years ago. He tries to speak, but all that comes out is a baby's babbling.
You En: ??? Have I been reborn?
He soon gets his answer when another cry rings out beside him.
Wait! Have I been reborn as my own twin brother?!
