Long Xingzhou, a college student from a small mountain village, finally found the kindhearted person who had anonymously supported him since middle school just as he was about to graduate.
The benefactor asked for nothing in return. They simply handed him an application form and hoped he would take part and stand out.
Long Xingzhou stared at the form, his gaze lingering.
A year ago, Xuan Lu, a member of FATE, a four-member boy band whose members were all top-tier stars, suddenly announced that he was leaving the group and moving abroad, shocking the entertainment industry.
The group's leader, Qi Yinian, and the other two members promptly announced that group activities would be suspended, while their individual careers continued to flourish.
Just as the public assumed FATE had become a group in name only, and other companies' new groups began gearing up to claim the market...
FATE's agency and top-tier film and television platform Xingchen dropped a bombshell.
The Chosen of Destiny
In an open audition, they would recruit a new member for FATE and set out again.
It was a competition in which tens of thousands would vie for a single spot, as well as a rare chance to become famous overnight and stand alongside top-tier stars.
Long Xingzhou submitted his application to repay his benefactor. Only then did he learn that the person who had helped him was an executive at FATE's rival company.
And he himself was a mole sent by that rival.
