[In Progress]
| Gentle, resilient, wooden beauty bottom vs. fiercely possessive young lady top
Blurb:
The eldest son of the Fu family was frail from birth and incapable of consummating a marriage. He was nearly thirty and still had no children.
With the Fu family on the verge of dying out, the madam and master were as anxious as ants on a hot pan.
A Taoist priest suggested finding a girl with a strong fate to bring good fortune to the household.
Perhaps not only would the young master's illness be cured, but the family might also gain a child or two.
And so Shen Qiuyun entered the Fu household.
They said she was there to bring good fortune, but in truth, she wasn't even a concubine.
If one were to be strict about it... she might have been on a par with the bedchamber maids of the old days.
Whether she became the lady of the house or a serving girl kept for the master's pleasure didn't matter.
In this world, being able to survive was what counted.
That's what Shen Qiuyun thought.
But within days, she was beaten with a whip and left half-dead.
Only then did she understand that great households were no different from the outside world.
As a servant, she could lose her life at any moment...
She never expected that someone would pull her out of that mire, wipe her face clean, and look at her with pity as they said, "I'll give you money. You can leave."
Fu Heyi was the only person in the household who looked her in the eye, and the only one willing to acknowledge who she was.
She bandaged Shen Qiuyun's wounds, shared Western candies with her, and told her amusing stories about school...
With her around,
even those bitter days didn't seem quite so hard to endure.
Then, two days before the wedding, Fu Heyi pulled her into a corner.
She reached out and gently touched the wound on Shen Qiuyun's cheek, pleading in a hoarse voice, "Since my elder brother treats you so badly, why don't you marry someone else? Find someone who'll treat you well..."
Shen Qiuyun lowered her eyes sadly and said with a self-mocking smile, "Someone like me... who could I marry?"
She had no choice in the matter.
But Fu Heyi suddenly leaned closer and softly kissed her wound, murmuring, "Marry me."
"I'll marry you."
PS:
An alternate universe with no real-life models. Both are each other's first and only.
Shen Qiuyun does not marry the Fu family's eldest son.
She leaves the Fu household, and they confirm their relationship.
