A scheming, secretly passionate, sharp-tongued male lead x a fearless, passionate, bandit-like female lead
Short blurb:
Zong Ni was stubborn. She thought she could melt Xie Qian's heart in five years,
then have an honest, proper relationship with him.
Eventually, he warmed up, but by then she couldn't be bothered to look back.
Sincerity has an expiration date. Once it's past, it's gone.

Most secret relationships probably begin with an accident.
That day, Zong Ni was meeting up with one of Xie Qian's friends, but a twist of fate landed her in bed with Xie Qian instead.
At the company retreat, a fine drizzle fell over the terrace.
Someone asked Xie Qian what his ideal type was.
Leaning against the railing, he casually listed a few traits: black hair, sweet and innocent, gentle and home-loving.
Everyone teased him: "Looks like President Xie already has someone in mind."
Every single one of those traits had nothing to do with Zong Ni.
She took a sip of whiskey. It tasted a little bitter.
Suddenly, she remembered the night before
On that damp night, rain pattered steadily, and her golden hair tangled over his sweat-damp collarbone.
Xie Qian's cool palm pressed against the small of her back, neither hard nor soft, and she started to tremble.
"Zong Ni," he asked quietly, "where's all that fire you usually have?"
Later, Zong Ni got tired of it.
She walked away without looking back and changed jobs.
Only then did Xie Qian realize
The one who'd always claimed never to fall in love was him, and the one who couldn't bear it when she walked away was also him.
The late autumn wind stung against the skin.
Xie Qian leaned against his car door, an unlit cigarette between his fingers.
Not far away, Zong Ni was kissing her new boyfriend goodbye downstairs.
The streetlights outlined the soft curve of her waist, a place his palm had measured countless times.
The man finally left.
Xie Qian straightened. The cigarette he'd crushed without noticing was scattered across the ground by the wind.
Zong Ni was about to turn and go upstairs.
"Even trash is sorted for recycling," Xie Qian said, his gaze fixed on her face. "You really bring anything home."
She turned back and said, "Oh."
"Depends on who you're comparing him to. Compared with you, he's recyclable."
"He's had five ex-girlfriends, and every one of them had long, straight black hair."
Zong Ni gave him a half-smile. "Don't you like that type too?"
The wind swept through the treetops with a rustle. Xie Qian heard himself ask calmly, "You don't know who I like?"
She gave a soft "Mm."
Zong Ni knew, but she didn't want him anymore.
#Melting a "stone" heart.
Please note:
Neither lead is sexually inexperienced, and both have exes.
The male lead is all mouth! He's a jerk too, but the female lead will train him. If that's not your thing, read with caution.
Expect melodrama, including stealing someone else's partner, rivals fighting over the heroine, and a groveling chase to win her back.
I'll wing it with the workplace scenes, so please don't take them too seriously!
