Sang Chanyue has only recently taken the throne, and her position is unstable. This scandal linking her to the immortal realm prompts loyal demons to accuse her of betraying their kind and being unworthy of the throne.

Holding the child, Ye Sushang's eyes redden. "You said you'd come take us home. Why are you breaking your promise?"

Sang Chanyue scoffs. "I've said similar things to plenty of men. Which time and place are you talking about, Immortal Venerable?"

Ye Sushang gives her the exact time and place.

Sang Chanyue is dazed for a moment. It seems that really did happen. He was the first man she fancied after leaving the demon realm for the first time.
