As a Dungeon NPC, I'm Still Backstabbing My Ex-Girlfriend Today

After transmigrating into an infinite-stream game, Yin Shan discovers that her role is stacked with buffs.

She's a player, a security guard in one of the instances, and a turncoat secretly embedded among the players as an undercover agent for the instance boss.

She even has the mission of winning over the chosen heroine.

Oh, and she has a girlfriend too, the infamous enemy of all players: the boss's second-in-command, Yue Mingzhu.

"??" Is this instance trying to work her like a beast?

Watching the players sharpen their knives and come after her, Yin Shan laughs nervously. "We broke up ages ago. Seriously."

-

Yue Mingzhu transmigrated into the game world as an NPC.

Her main duties are to take the blame for her boss, take hits for her boss, do the dirty work her boss can't do, kill the players her boss can't kill, and finally make a glorious sacrifice, becoming a convenient tool to clear her boss's name.

After all, her romance-obsessed boss is following a romance plot and will eventually join hands with the official heroine. All the NPCs are just cannon fodder sacrificed for a beautiful love story.

Yue Mingzhu: "???"

Meanwhile, the boss has already joined the protagonist's group as a plant.

Yue Mingzhu: Heh. I risk my life to play along with you, and you're thinking about romance?

To secure her own future, Yue Mingzhu makes several preparations.

1. Leak the boss's secrets to the players, expose her identity, and get her killed.

2. Secretly increase the instance's difficulty and release lots of mutant creatures into it, getting her killed.

3. Pretend to be deaf when the boss hints at trading information, getting her killed.

4. When other NPCs or the system ask about the boss, say she's gone on vacation, making it easier to get her killed.

And so on...

-

Until...

The knife at her throat, Yue Mingzhu hears a familiar mocking laugh.

Yin Shan: "We only broke up, and you really never thought of letting me live?"

Yue Mingzhu's expression changes. Why did nobody tell her... her ex had transmigrated here too?

Yue Mingzhu's expression darkens further. "Who's your chosen heroine? How far have you gotten with her? Held hands? Or gone all the way? Why are you silent? Answer me!"

Yin Shan: "..."
