Pirate A, who had challenged the Red Hair Pirates and miraculously survived, fell silent.

Because on the day their crew was wiped out, Red Hair destroyed their ship with a single blow, his face covered in scratches from a cat.

Word had it that their crew was wiped out because they'd accidentally disturbed a cat's nap...

A tavern server also said that the man who loved his liquor most would put down his glass, no matter how early it was, and take his cat home to sleep if it jumped into his arms for a nap.

Someone even brought out Shanks's first wanted poster and pointed to the cat in the photo. “Look! Here's the proof!”

The anonymous Morgans, the Big News, loudly publicized one hundred ways to tell that Red Hair was a cat lover in the latest issue of his newspaper.

The terrifying rumor spread farther and farther, from the Grand Line to the New World, until everyone knew about it.

Some believed it, while others scoffed.

The Red Hair Pirates stayed quiet. Not for any particular reason, but because there really was a cat aboard their ship who could swagger around on their captain's head.

Later, the cat disappeared, and a spoiled-looking girl appeared by Red Hair's side.

The rumor that Emperor Shanks was a cat lover gradually changed into the claim that he was an even more hopeless henpecked husband.

Warnings:

1. Since Oda is so cryptic and Shanks's background hasn't been fully revealed, this whole story is the author's made-up account of his past XD

2. The heroine appears as a cat in the early chapters and only turns human later.

3. The heroine and Red Hair are a romantic pairing with mutual feelings; her relationships with the others are platonic. This is a story where everyone dotes on her.

4. You don't need to have read the original to enjoy this, because even if you have, you won't find the same plot as the original in my story. (?)

5. I haven't watched the movie RED, so Uta won't appear in this story.
