Insensitive, ordinary-looking Beta woman x obsessive, lovesick Alpha man
Synopsis:
Min Zheng is a frail, poor Beta who wants to go to school and survives by collecting trash.
In a trash heap on Tail Star, she finds a handsome young man covered in blood. Before passing out, he gives her a diamond watch and a jade pendant, promising to give her even more if she saves him.
And money is exactly what Min Zheng needs most.
The Imperial Military Academy is about to start, and she can't even afford a ticket to the capital planet.
She pawns the diamond watch and jade pendant to pay for the young man's treatment.
When he wakes up, though, he's lost his memory. He clings to her, calls her “wife,” and insists on kissing her.
Min Zheng blushes with embarrassment, but she still needs money, so she can only take him back to her basement for now.
She calls him A-Lu.
A-Lu is a bit of a dimwit, but with the physical strength of a top-tier Alpha, he risks his life to make money in underground boxing matches.
When people ask him why he works so hard, he says with a silly grin, “I have to put my wife through school.”
They laugh. “Careful, your wife might not want you anymore once she's educated.”
A-Lu is so frightened that he cries. At night, he bites the side of Min Zheng's neck and sobs, “Do you want me? Do you want me? Hmm?”
Min Zheng's fingertips dig into his shoulders and back as she pants softly. “Of course... mm... I want A-Lu...”
The young man holds her tight, his eyes dark and crazed. “My wife can't leave me!”
But Min Zheng remembers the doctor saying he will never regain his memory.
She won't get the money, but life has to go on.
Min Zheng takes the money and runs, leaving behind a damp basement, some unused condoms, and an apology letter.
They meet again at the opening ceremony.
A-Lu, the man she abandoned, has become Lu Huailu, the high and mighty son of a marshal.
The handsome young man, bright and dignified, gives a speech as the student representative on the dais. His cool gaze passes over her without stopping, just as she expected.
Min Zheng lowers her head too, pretending not to know him.
After all, they are worlds apart.
So Min Zheng never expected Lu Huailu to take advantage of her and lock her in a basement, making her read him that apology letter.
“Either read it to the end or let me use you up.” The young man opens a drawer full of old belongings.
Min Zheng braces herself against the desk, swaying. Her hands are too weak to hold the paper, and her words come out in fragments.
“A-Lu, I'm... I'm sorry... mm, I was going to... hmm...”
Lu Huailu kisses the nape of her slender, pale neck at an unhurried pace. His cold fingers tilt up her chin as he kindly reminds her,
“Wife, you read that wrong.”
The seemingly chaste young man thrusts into her without restraint and grins wickedly.
“Start over.”

The leads knew each other before; he doesn't call every woman he sees his wife.
Both leads are sexually inexperienced. 30% plot, 70% romance, with plenty of melodramatic sweetness.
The heroine is physically frail but strong-willed and rather insensitive; the hero is an obsessive, capable lovesick man.
Height difference romance, self-delusion, and picking up a dummy.
Set in an ABO empire on the verge of collapse.
Includes war, revenge, and power-ups.
