Still Trying to Act Like an Adult Today

The entire novel is complete and ready to read. [Professional clown bottom × an eager-to-act-grown-up top] Chi Yun is a clown. Of course, that means his profession, not his personality. One day, he came across a lost child. The child was very quiet, and no matter how hard Chi Yun tried to amuse him, he didn’t say a word. Only when a handsome young man came rushing over, looking frantic, did the child react. The man said he was the boy’s father. The man looked far too young to have a child, but since the boy didn’t deny it, Chi Yun didn’t ask any questions. Before leaving, he twisted a red balloon into the shape of a dog and gave it to the boy. Then he saw the first smile the boy had worn all night. Chi Yun thought the incident was just a tiny blip in his professional life. He never expected the young father to come looking for him again half a month later. This time, the manager personally brought him into the office in the middle of his shift. Unlike the somewhat disheveled man he’d met before, this time he was dressed in a suit and wore the gold-rimmed glasses that were practically the uniform of a refined scoundrel. The man, who introduced himself as Song Boming, slid a contract across the table to him: “Come over every weekend and spend half a day playing with my son. I’ll pay you ten thousand yuan each time, but you have to make sure he laughs just like he did last time.” “Before each visit, get your makeup and costume done just like you have now. Don’t let my son see what you really look like.” “Finally, apart from playing with him, don’t tell him anything about your personal life, and don’t ask him about anything.” Dazed by the sudden windfall and completely missing the nervousness hidden in the man’s eyes, Chi Yun thought: ...A deal like this exists? Sure thing, boss. I’ll get the job done! At the time, Chi Yun had no idea that before long, the man in front of him would love nothing more than to personally wipe away his clown makeup, bit by bit, then cover every inch of his face with his own lips. P.S. The child is not the top’s biological son. Theme: I will eventually grow toward the sunlight and become a towering tree.
