Lin Qiuxu transmigrates into the body of a useless sentinel, mocked for having a weak snow-ferret spirit form.
Lin Qiuxu looks in confusion at the floating Portuguese man o' war nearby. So what is this Guide spirit form?
"Have you heard? That useless sentinel is actually a mutated Guide, and an S-rank immortal jellyfish! Guidance slots are first come, first served!"
Half an hour later, wails echo through the building. "Sis! We really can't take it!"
The next day, the entire academy knows Lin Qiuxu has poisoned ten sentinels in a row.
On the third day, undeterred, Lin Qiuxu moves into the guidance room with all her things. "How can sentinels not withstand a Guide's mental guidance? Try again."
On the seventh day, the academy administrators call her in for a meeting. "We heard you beat up sentinels in the guidance room and said only the strongest sentinel deserved your guidance?"
Lin Qiuxu: "What? Damn it, I'm going to take on all these rumor-spreaders!"
But no one knows that the second half of the rumor has come true.
Good news: She has two spirit forms, and both are rare Guide types.
Bad news: She can't soothe sentinels, and her spirit forms have mutated into attack types.
Trying to figure out why, Lin Qiuxu knocks on the door of her neighbor, a fellow patient.
"Hey, I heard you have two spirit forms too?"
Before she can finish, the man slams the door in her face.
As the only two patients at the military academy who have been ostracized, her neighbor has it even worse. He can't summon his spirit form properly, while Lin Qiuxu's jellyfish spends every day clinging to him and sucking away.
Lin Qiuxu kisses her newly adopted cat, feeling guilty and uneasy, and decides to take better care of him.
Until one day, Lin Qiuxu sees her neighbor's leopard spirit form shrink and nimbly leap onto her balcony, meowing like it's putting on an act, while a spirit form that looks half dragon, half snake secretly slips into her bed.
So the one who's been clinging to her in bed every night isn't her own jellyfish spirit form?
Excerpt 1:
"I heard Major General Xie has recovered. The scene of the major general going berserk and destroying half of an unnamed planet back then was terrifying. When he really loses it, he even strikes himself right in the heart."
Nearby, Lin Qiuxu is eating the lovingly prepared lunch: Who's that ruthless?
A message comes through on her wrist communicator. Lin Qiuxu looks down to read it.
"Xie Shushi: I cut my hand chopping vegetables. It hurts so much. At least I made it to your taste."
Excerpt 2:
"Major General Xie and... who's Lin Qiuxu, the team leaders for this competition?"
Someone beside him answers immediately. "I know this one! A Guide with two spirit forms, set off the testing equipment at the start of the semester, broke the record by controlling two mechs solo..."
"Put it that way, and of course I know her."
