If Only We Could Think Back on Those Years

The first time Lin Qi met Xie Sinian, she was planning to end her life. Without a word, he grabbed her and used his body to cushion her fall, saving her life.

It was only when they went to the hospital that she learned this man, who looked younger than her, was a criminal police officer. Perhaps worried she might try again, he kept hold of her hand throughout the ambulance ride.

Her first impression of him was that he was steady and dependable.

But who could have expected that, while they were treating his injuries at the hospital, the man who had been holding her hand would suddenly bury his face in his arm and start howling?

He clenched his teeth to hold back his tears and asked as bravely as he could, "Wifey, can I pursue you?"

She smiled and wiped away the tears that still fell from his eyes. "How about I give you a hug first, you crybaby?"

"I'm not a crybaby!"

Someone buried his face in her arms and started howling day after day.
