Don't Bully Him Just Because He Can't Hear Well

Ruan Er's ears were accidentally damaged when he was young, leaving him with very poor hearing. The doctors recommended hearing aids, but he couldn't afford them, so he learned to live with the faintest sounds.

When people cursed at him, he couldn't hear.

When they laughed at him, he couldn't hear them.

He grew up in an almost silent world, learning to read sign language, expressions, and lips.

Though his path wasn't easy, Ruan Er still made it to high school.

He had few friends, and he wasn't welcomed in his unfamiliar new class at the start of the school year. That is, until a new student transferred into his class.

When everyone excluded him, the new student volunteered to sit beside him, kindly helped him catch up on his studies, stood up for him, and even learned sign language to communicate with him.

Pei Xun.

He was the only good friend Ruan Er had in his new class, and a truly wonderful person. But Ruan Er didn't know that Pei Xun bluntly called him "baby" while tutoring him, or that Pei Xun already considered him his own. So when his friends warned him that Pei Xun wasn't normal, he didn't take them seriously.

By the time Ruan Er realized something was off about Pei Xun, it was already too late for him to escape.
